Permanent border checkpoint is opened in the territory of Universal Transloading Complex (UTC OJSC, Ust-Luga) by the order of the Federal Agency for the Development of the State Border of the Russian Federation dated December 10, 2008, the company’s press center reports.
In 2008, over RUR 85 mln was invested in construction of the complex infrastructure facilities. UTC design capacity is 3 million tonnes per year.
Universal Transshipment Complex OJSC is a part of Universal Cargo Logistics Holding В.V., a transport holding controlling Sea Port of Saint Petersburg OJSC and Commercial Seaport of Taganrog OJSC. The Holding’s total throughput exceeds 14 million tonnes of cargo per year.
