Pirates release tanker but “three dead”

Press agencies have reported that Somali pirates have released the Panama-flag chemical tanker Action which was hijacked in October and that three crew members are feared dead. The reports quotes East African Seafarers Assistance Programme head Andrew Mwangura as saying: "The MT Action was released by pirates. She is currently limping to safe waters. It is feared that three crew members lost their lives under questionable circumstances."
Twenty crew, 17 Georgians and three Pakistanis, are believed to have been on the Greek-owned vessel when it was hijacked on 10 October in the Gulf of Aden.
