SINGAPORE's PSA International has announced that its container terminals in the Lion City handled 26.86 million TEU in the first 11 months of the year, an increase of 8.8 per cent compared to the same period last year.
But container throughput in November fell by 1.5 per cent from a year earlier and was down 9.3 per cent compared to October of this year, according to preliminary figures released by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, reports Reuters.
It added that Singapore's exports registered a sharp decline in October on the back of slowing demand from the city state's key trading partners in the US and Europe.
