The total volume of cargo hauled in August by JSC Freight Two, a subsidiary of Russia’s state-owned monopoly RZD (Russian Railways) was 4.9 million tons, a 14-percent gain month-on-month, or more than 85,000 railcars (up 16% from July numbers) operated by Freight One, the Company said.
In August 2012, the overall tonne-km of railcars owned by Freight Two reached 11.1 billion, up 1.3 billion month-on-month (9, 8bl tonne-km).
Total average daily loading rate of FT’s railcars in August 2012 increased month-on-month to 2,747 cars (+368 units, or up 15%).
