Bunker suppliers urge Russian Govt to create a task team to solve the "problem of 2015"
Self-regulatory organization Russian Association of Marine and River Bunker Suppliers (Rosmorrechbunker) has appealed to Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev with the resolution of the 5th All-Russian Forum "Current environment and prospects of development of the Russian market of bunkering services", which was held in St. Petersburg in June 2012. The Association calls on Russian Prime Minister to establish a working group to address the ‘problem of 2015’.
The resolution submitted to Dmitry Medvedev includes the assessment of the negative consequences that may impact the Russian water transport, ports and bunkering industry after the entry into force of MARPOL 73/78 restrictions on marine fuel in 2015 and proposals for adoption of a number of measures to prevent them.
