Zhejiang Yangfan pens order for eight boxships
Chinese shipbuilder Zhejiang Yangfan Group clinched an order to build up to eight 2,300 teu container vessels for German shipowner Bernhard Schulte and financial institution JP Morgan, Seatrade Asia online reports.
The order comprises of four firm newbuildings with options for four more. The firm orders are slated for delivery from the second half of 2014 to the second half of 2015.
The prices for the new vessels are estimated at around $26.5m each.
