CMA CGM launches its new “Citrus Express” service
CMA CGM has announced the launching of a new seasonal service to transport citrus exports from Turkey and Egypt to Russia: the "Citrus Express," the French carrier press release said.
This new fixed-day weekly service will offer very competitive transit times:
Mersin – Novorossiysk in 5 days
Damietta – Novorossiysk in 7 days
As from the 2nd November 2012, CMA CGM will deploy 3 vessels of 1100 TEUs on the following loop:
Port Said > Mersin > Istanbul (Ambarli) > Novorossiysk > Gemlink > Port Said.
Mid-February, at the end of the citrus exports campaign in Turkey and at its beginning in Egypt, one new Egyptian port will be included and the loop will be as follows:
Damiette > Istanbul > Novorossiysk > Gemlick > Port-Saïd > Damiette.
