Minsheng Bank considers ship industry fund

China Minsheng Banking Co., ltd (CMBC), the first national joint-stock commercial bank with shares mainly from non-public enterprise is considering setting up a ship industry fund, SinoShipNews reports.

After over four years operation of the communication finance business department of Mingsheng bank, it has made strong inroads into the shipping industry especially for the major sectors of port, shipping and shipbuilding. Han Feng, an official from the communication finance business department said, “the department is researching the market and plans to set up a ship industry fund.”
