Singapore IFO380 rises back over $600 pmt

Bunker prices were climbing in Singapore today, but overall, Ship & Bunker price data shows markets in the APAC region were softening.

Singapore IFO380 climbed $9.50 to $600.50 per metric tonne (pmt) after Friday's fall below $600.00 pmt for only the second time since the summer. IFO380 prices remain around the same level as four months ago. MGO gained $9.00 today putting the price at $927.00 pmt.

Hong Kong IFO380 fell $2.00 to $607.00 pmt meaning the port has seen the product increase in price on only one day, November 7, 2012, since October 16, 2012. The product in Taiwanese ports, including Hualien, Kaohsiung, and Taichung also fell $2.00 today.

Tokyo IFO380 fell $3.00 to $662.50 pmt, keeping prices at mid-July levels. Distillate in the port dropped $7.50 to $940.00 pmt.

Port Klang saw 380 cSt product fall $8.00 to $593.00, the lowest price in the last 3 months with the product moving down a total of $65.00 in that time. MGO in the port was also down, falling $2.00 to $930.50 pmt.
