EMEA bunker prices steady to soft on Christmas Eve
Bunker prices in the EMEA region were soft to steady today. With the exception of a small gain for MGO in Rotterdam, North and Western Europe prices were mostly down, where both IFO380 and IFO180 fell $6.00 per metric tonne (pmt) in Polish ports. Elsewhere in the EMEA region prices were generally steady, with the biggest movement a change of $-3.00.
Rotterdam IFO380 moved down $1.50 to $582.00 pmt, up $4.00 week-on-week. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) was down $0.50 to $618.50 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $36.50 pmt. MGO rose $1.50 to $933.50 pmt.
Istanbul IFO380 was steady at $619.50 pmt after a relatively large jump of $12.00 on Friday, now up $5.00 since last week. MGO was also unchanged at $991.50 pmt.
Piraeus IFO380 fell $2.50 to $602.00 pmt, the first downward movement since last Monday for a change of $+6.50 in that time. LS380 slipped $1.00 to $667.00 making the premium for the low sulfur grade $65.00 pmt. MGO dropped $3.00 to $962.50 pmt, the first downward movement since December 12, 2012 and up $32.50 since then.
Fujairah IFO380 dropped $1.50 to $604.50 pmt for a change of just $+3.00 in the last two weeks with a spread of $5.50 in that time. MGO moved down $1.00 to $1008.00 pmt.
