Saint Petersburg as major transport center of Russia’s North-West to be discussed in Hamburg

Saint Petersburg delegation will visit Hamburg and Lubeck (Germany) in December 5-9, 2006, Saint Petersburg Committee of External Relations reports according to Baltic Information Agency. On December 6 the conference dedicated to development of Saint Petersburg as major transport-and-logistics center of Russia’s North-West region to be held at Hamburg Chamber of Commerce. The participants of the conference will represent governments of Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein and Vorpommern, management of Northern German ports and companies operating in the sphere of sea transportation. Besides, Saint Petersburg delegation is to meet representatives of state authorities and management of Hamburg and Lubeck ports, as well as to visit modern terminal of the port of Hamburg.
