Cargo turnover of Krasnodar region seaports up 3% in January-October

Seaports of Krasnodar region increased their cargo turnover by 3% in January-October against similar period of the previous year – to 98.4 million tons. According to kuban.info, this information has been provided by Transport and Communications Department of region administration to Interfax-Yug agency. In the 10-month period of 2006 stevedoring compamies of Tuapse port handled 17.64 million tons of cargo, which is similar to the same period of the previous year. The companies, operating at the territory of Yeisk port grew their turnover by 15.2% - to 2.659 million tons.  The largest port of the region – Novorossijsk Commercial Seaport increased its cargo turnover by 0.5% in January-October – to 62.263 million tons. 8 seaports operate in the region: Novorossijsk, Tuapse, Yeisk, Sochi, Anapa, Gelendzhik, Caucasus and Temryuk.
