Additional ice restrictions introduced in Big Port St. Petersburg
Additional ice restrictions in Big Port St. Petersburg come into effect today, February 4, 2013. According to the Harbor Master’s order, Ice I vessels are allowed to carry out ice navigation only with assistance of icebreakers, vessels with ice class Ice2 and over are allowed to carry out non-escorted voyages upon icebreaker’s permission and recommendation or with icebreaker’s assistance of icebreakers.
Tug and tow vessels or non-reinforced vessels are not permitted to ice navigation until the restrictions are lifted.
