Throughput of Freight One up 2.7 times to 194.8 mln t in 2012
In 2012, transportation of cargo by RZhD network in wagons owned by Freight One OJSC totaled 194.8 mln t, up 2.7 times, year-on-year, the company’s press center informs.
The company’s cargo turnover increased 3.3 times to 368.2 bln ton-km.
In the reported period, transportation of coal totaled 64.7 mln tons, oil and oil products – 43.1 mln tons, ore – 21.5 mln tons, construction cargo – 15.6 mln tons, cement – 14.4 mln tons, ferrous metal – 10.7 mln tons.
Freight One is the largest private rail freight operator in Russia. Freight One possesses over 190,000 units of rolling stock. The structure of Freight One is made up of 14 sub-offices, which deliver services to customers across the whole railway network in Russia. In Ukraine and Finland the Company is represented by Freight One Ukraine and Freight One Scandinavia.
In 2012 Freight One joined UCL Rail, which is the railway division of UCL Holding - an international transport group. The group unites several large railway operators with a broad network, as well as stevedoring companies in the north-west and south of the country, along with Volga, North-Western and Western Shipping Companies, plus some other shipping and logistics assets.
