Throughput of Aktau Port (Kazakhstan) up 10.8% to 1.15 mln t in Jan'13
In January 2013, Aktau International Sea Commercial Port (RSE Aktau Port, Kazakhstan) handled 1.153 mln tons of dry and liquid bulk cargo, up 10.8%, year-on-year, press center of the stevedoring company informs.
In the reported period, transshipment of oil cargo amounted to 864,000 tons, metal products – 94,000 tons, ferry freight – 121,000 tons, grain – 48,000 tons, other cargo – 26,000 tons. In January the port saw 177 vessel calls.
The Republican State Enterprise "Aktau International Sea Commercial Port" operates in the port of Aktau situated on the eastern coast of the Caspian sea, the only sea port of the Republic of Kazakhstan, aimed for international shipping of different dry cargos, crude oil and oil products.
