Ukraine-Turkey negotiations on passage of gas tankers through Bosphorus
Ukraine is negotiating with Turkey on the possibility of the passage of tankers with liquefied natural gasthrough the Bosphorus Strait, press center of Ukrainian Government states.
This was started by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov during a meeting with the State Department’s Special Envoy and Coordinator for International Energy Affairs, Ambassador Carlos Pascual.
"We have problems with the construction of a terminal for receiving liquefied natural gas. The problems are related to the fact that Turkey reluctantly considering passage of oil tankers with liquefied gas through itsstraits", Mykola Azarov said.
He added that Ukraine currently studies various opportunities for supplying itself with the gas through regasifying terminals.
