RUR 123 bln allocated for infrastructure development of Ust-Luga UTC in 2012
In 2012, RUR 123 bln was allocated for the infrastructure development of Universal Transshipment Complex LLC at Ust-Luga port (Leningrad region), the company’s press center states.
In particular, the company acquired a plot of land for the development of approach railway to provide necessary infrastructure for a growing flow of dry bulk and general cargo.
Besides, the terminal’s cargo yards were upgraded in 2012 and part of the allocated funds was used as the lease payment for lifting and transporting equipment acquired earlier within the program on renovation of the handling equipment.
Universal Transshipment Complex LLC (part of UCL Port, stevedoring division of an international transport group UCL Holding) is a cargo terminal in the port of Ust-Luga, Leningrad region. It specializes storing and export/import handling of general and dry bulk cargo. In 2012, UTC throughput totaled 2.9 mln tons of cargo.
