First five sea going vessels have been cleared with the use of pre-informing technology at the customs terminal of Murmansk, press center of the North-Western Customs Administration reports.
Obligatory procedure for filing preliminary information on imported goods covers only international transportation by motor transport but it may be applied voluntarily for transportation by other types of transport.
As of today the terminal is able to accept and process preliminary information from sea carriers 24 hours a day.
According to the statement, Murmansk customs terminal is the first at the Kola Peninsula to accept and issue electronic declarations.
