Crude oil cargo delivered to three ports of two countries in Asia-Pacific under Sakhalin-2 project
This is for the first time on the Sakhalin-2 project, when an oil tanker chartered by Sakhalin Energy delivered one crude oil cargo to three ports of two countries in Asia-Pacific, Sakhalin Energy reports.
The “Sakhalin Island” delivered another cargo of Vityaz blend crude oil. At first she discharged a part of cargo at the South Korean port of Yosu, and then followed the route to the Japanese ports of Sakai and Kawasaki.
This voyage required more time and changes to the schedule. Taking into account Sakhalin Energy’s loading and delivery intensity, scheduling was a real challenge. The tanker had to adjust its time schedule to all three ports discharge plans.
The triple delivery was planned specially under the request of one of our customers. This is another proof that Sakhalin Energy is very flexible and client oriented in terms of our customers’ needs.
Starting from the year-round oil production in 2008, Sakhalin Energy has exported more that 181 mln barrels of Vityaz blend crude oil.
