Stevedores of Azov-Don Shipping Company increase throughput by 6% to 4.5 mln tons in 2012
In 2012, stevedoring companies of Azov-Don Shipping Company (ADP Group) increased their throughput by 6%, year-on-year, to 4.5 mln tons, PortNews IAA learnt from the Group’s press center.
The facilities of Rostov Universal Port handled 1.5 mln tons.
In the accounting period, Ust-Donetsk port handled 1.1 mln tons. Universal Stevedoring Company LLC transshipped 650,000 tons of coal at the off-harbor of Kazkaz port. Besides, 1.2 mln tons of cargo was handled by the Group’s stevedoring companies at the terminals of the Rostov and Krasnodar regions.
In the list of cargoes, sulfur accounts for 36 %, construction cargoes – 26%, coal – 21%, scrap metal – 9%, other – 8%.
Azov-Don Shipping Company is a transportation group, established in 2003. The Group is comprised of more than 20 companies, including shipping, stevedoring companies (Rostov Universal Port, the port of Ust-Donetsk, Universal Stevedoring Company), logistics and development companies. ADP operates a fleet of 73 ‘river-sea’ vessels (each 7,000DWT), 100 river boats of 3000DWT.
