Throughput of port Vysotsk up 6% to 1,226,000 tons in Jan’13
In January 2013, throughput of port Vysotsk increased by 6%, year-on-year, to 1,226,000 tons, the Administration of Big Port St. Petersburg states.
In the accounting period, oil product transshipment fell by 9%, year-on-year, to 830,600 tons, coal and coke transshipment gained 56% to 395,400 tons.
Port of Vysotsk is located in the Leningrad region. There are currently two stevedore companies operating at the port’s terminals: Port Vysotsky LLC and RPK-Vysotsk-Lukoil-II Ltd. In 2011, the port handled 13.42 mln tons of cargo. In May 2012, the Russian government decided to expand the Vysotsk port with new territories. In 2012 the port’s throughput increased by 2%, year-on-year, to 13,634,200 tons.
