50 mln tons of ESPO oil shipped from Kozmino port (photo)

From the moment when Spetsmornefteport Kozmino LLC (Special Oil Port of Kozmino) was put into operation,  50 mln tons of ESPO oil was exported to the Asia-Pacific region. According to the press center of Spetsmornefteport Kozmino, the “milestone” ton of oil was shipped by the Forward Flair tanker on the night of February 19/20, 2013 to the S. Kerean port of Yeosu.

The “milestone” oil was delivered by ESPO-2 pipeline. 

As of February 19, 2013, some 3 mln tons of oil was shipped in 2013: 41.4% - to Japan, 24.1% – China, 9.3% - the Philippines, 8.4% - Singapore, 3.9% - S.Korea, 3.5% – USA,  3.4% - Taiwan, 3% - Indonesia and 3% - Malaysia. 

Total export from Spetsmornefteport Kozmino in 2013 is expected to make 21 mln tons of oil including 18 mln tons delivered by ESPO-2 pipeline and 3 mln tons – by railway from Skovorodino. 
 
Kozmino Oil Terminal is the terminus of the ESPO Oil Pipeline (Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean) in Nakhodka, Primorsk region. The capacity of the terminal’s first stage was 15 million tons of crude oil (ESPO brand) a year. With the launch of the second stage (December 25, 2012) the capacity was expanded to 30m t/y.
