Ecologists are invited to discuss project on port and LNG plant construction in Primorsk Territory
The Primorsk Territory authorities invite ecological organizations to discuss the project on construction of a specialized seaport and LNG plant of Gazprom OJSC in the area of the Lomonosov cape (Khasan district), press center of the regional administration informs.
A meeting dedicated to the construction of a port and a plant, the decision on which is yet to be taken, was held in Primorsk Territory. The discussion involved the heads of the department on energy, oil & gas complex and coal industry, departments of forestry, urban development, natural resources and environment protection of the Primorsk Territory, deputy head of the Khasan District administration, head of Vladivostok Seaport Administration, representatives of design organizations engaged in the plant construction issues.
According to Oleg Roi, head of the Khasan District administration, 95% of the district population vote for the plan construction.
“We are looking to cooperate with ecological organizations. They may participate in public hearings and in ecological feasibility competitions,” said Sergei Sidorov, first vice-governor of the Primorsk Territory.
