Net income of TransContainer up 38.4% to RUR 4.81 bln under Russian Accounting Standards
OJSC TransContainer posted revenues for the twelve months of 2012 in the amount of RUB 33,187 million, which is 14.1% higher than for the same period of 2011. Operating Income for the period grew 28.0% to RUB 7,150 million.
Net Income for the reporting period hiked 38.4% to reach RUB 4,817 million.
Company’s assets were RUB 41,215 million as of 31 December 2012.
The Company’s rail container transportation volumes for the full year 2012 increased by 8.9% compared to the same period of 2011 and reached 1,484 thousand TEU, mainly due to an increase in transit (2.7 times) and import (+11.7%) transportation.
TransContainer JSC operates as a subsidiary of Russian Railways OJSC from July 2006. The company owns 46 terminals in Russia’s major freight centres, with its branches covering the entire Russian railway network. The company’s major shareholder is Russian Railways with 50% +2 shares.
