Businessman Roman Razmanov murdered in Arkhangelsk region was a co-owner of Arkhangelsk River Port and Shipping Company Ecotec, which incorporated ship repair yard Laiski Dok, where the attempt took place, PortNews IAA learnt from a source familiar with Razmanov. According to the website of Shipping Company Ecotec, Roman Razmanov is the company’s Director General.
Shipping Company Ecotec has been providing services on cargo transportation by river-sea going beach-loading vessels mainly to the coasts of the White, Kara and Barents Seas from 2003. Major shipping activities of the company are transportation oil products, general and bulk cargo, towing services and loading / unloading of vessels. Ecotec fleet consists of sea and river tug boats, dry cargo and liquid bulk cargo barges, tankers, crane boats – some 50 vessels in total. All of them are based in Arkhangelsk. They are fitted with up-to-date technical and navigational equipment and have all licenses and permits required for activities. Ecotec owns a shipbuilding and ship repair yard, has its own cargo district and berths equipped with load-lifting facilities.
