DFDS Lisco Klaipeda – Zasnits ferry line will be extended to the port of Baltiysk starting from January, 2006.
Representatives of the port of Baltiysk mentioned, that the ferry may be registered in Russia. Flying Russian flag will allow to organize duty free trading, which may attract passengers.
Nowadays the ferry may transport 90 wagons, 120 passengers and 180 tags. The ferry was constructed 20 years ago in order to transport Russian wagons from Klaipeda to Mukran.
