Dry cargoes trans-shipment volume down 7.1percent in Russian ports in Jan-Feb

Dry cargoes trans-shipment volume was 7.1% down in Russian ports in January and February, reported Alxander Pilipets, Chairman of the Sea Ports Operation Committee, with reference to the Baltic Information Agency, RZD-Partner reports.
Mr Pilipets has informed that total trans-shipment volume, including oil, was increased by 5%. But the situation with some dry cargo items is really serious: wood trans-shipment was down two-fold, mineral fertilizers – by 46%, black metals – by 10.5%. He also noticed that time of processing cargoes in the ports was increased.
Total 454.5 million tons of cargoes were processed during last year, including 191.8 million tons of dry cargoes.
