Volume of foreign trade operations totaled $133.03 million in January-September (+40% against year-on-year result), Ukraine’s state statistics bureau reports according to RZD-Partner. Export grew by +91.1% (+$4.038 million against year-on-year result) to $8.471 million. In 2005 the dynamics of the same period was +43.9% (+$1.352 million). Import continues to play the most important role in foreign trade turnover of Ukraine’s ports – its share is still over 93% of all foreign trade operations in monetary value. Import turnover totaled $124.559 million (+36.2%, or +$33.1 million against similar period of the previous year). In 2005, import share grew by +51% (+$30.4 million). The share of ports in total foreign trade turnover was 0.3% in over the reported period. In 2005 it was about 0.2%.
