Oceania VSA streamlines WC Australia-NZ Service

Hamburg Sud, Hapag-Lloyd and Maersk Line, the member shipping lines belonging to the Oceania Vessel Sharing Agreement, have made changes to their services that ply the West Coast of North America to Australia/New Zealand trade.A joint company statement said that from now on the Pacific Southwest String (PSW) will depart from Los Angeles every Sunday and offer non-stop service to Melbourne in 17 days.
The amended port rotation for the PSW string is: Los Angeles, Melbourne, Sydney, Tauranga, Suva (fortnightly), Papeete (fortnightly), Ensenada (fortnightly), and back to Los Angeles. The containership the "Hansa Flensburg" set sail on the revised PSW schedule on December 3 when it departed from Los Angeles. Meanwhile, the Pacific Northwest String (PNW) will call at: Oakland, Seattle (fortnightly), Vancouver (fortnightly), Los Angeles and proceed to Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and return via Honolulu (monthly) to Oakland. The new rotation for the PNW string will be kicked off with the sailing of the "Santa Federica", from Auckland on December 22.
The Oceania VSA currently operates a total of 13 vessels offering 104 departures each year.
