The net profit of Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) under US GAAP surged 61.1 percent to $1.6847 in the first nine months of 2006 compared to the same period a year earlier, the company's documents state according to RBC. Revenue grew 29.6 percent to more than $4.358bn, while gross profit increased by 27.1 percent to some $2.053bn. Operating profit rose 18.3 percent to about $1.678bn, and EBITDA went up by 15.3 percent to around $1.829bn.The company's share capital amounts to 5,993,227,240 common shares with a face value of RUR1 (approx. USD0.03).
