OOCL's new logistics branch in the Tianjin Bonded Logistics Park has begun operations. It is OOCL's largest logistics facility in North China, Xinhua reports, and the new operations base is intended to serve the region as well as north east Asia in future. The facility provides warehousing, container transportation, international transshipment and other value-added services.
OOCL is said to have so far invested US$100 million to support the development of the logistics and transportation industry in the city of Tianjin, including shipping terminals, land transport and warehouses.
