Vladivostok Commercial Seaport handled 3.8 million tons in 11M06

According to current data provided by production direction of Vladivostok Commercial Seaport OJSC, cargo turnover of the company totaled 3777 thou tons in January-November 2006, VCS’s press center reports according to Vostok-Media. Export totaled 1869 thou tons, import - 1064 thou tons (698 thou tons in January-November 2005) and 844 thou tons of coastal trade cargo (952.5 thou tons in January-November 2005). In January-November 2006 the company handled 2962 vessels and 51437 wagon units. In the 11-month period Vladivostok Container Terminal (VCT) handled 133214 TEU (+19%, year-on-year). Coastal trade cargo turnover amounted to 42214 TEU in January-November 2006 compared to 53329 TEU in January-November 2005; import totaled 44248 TEU (against 30125 TEU in January-November 2005, + 46 %); export - 46752 TEU (against 28305 in January-November 2005, +65%). Average daily turnover of the port was 11309 tons of cargo, every day the port handled 154 wagons.
