Cargo turnover of Odessa Commercial Seaport up 5% in 11M06

Cargo turnover of Odessa Commercial Seaport (Ukraine’s largest port) totaled 23.6 million tons in January-November 2006 (+5% against year-on-year result), the port’s administration reports according to RBC-Ukraine. The port increased handling of dry cargo by 8.5% - to 12.6 million tons, including growth in handling of general cargo – by 12.8% to 9 million tons, while transshipment of liquid cargo decreased by 0.5% - to 11 million tons. In November cargo turnover grew by 17.2% - to 2.1 million tons including transshipment of 1.2 million tons of dry cargo (+8.7%) and 0.8 million tons of liquid cargo (+32.3%).
