Seaports of Russia will increase their total throughput by 4%, year-on-year, to 585-590 mln t this year, IAA PortNews journalist cites Victor Olersky, Deputy Transport Minister, as saying at BoD meeting of Association of Commercial Sea Ports.
According to Serik Zhusupov, Executive Director of the Association, the highest growth is registered in the Arctic and the Far East Basins with the Baltic Basin also showing slight increase, while the decline in the Black Sea Basin should be attributed to pre-Olympic activities.
