Ports of Chukotka region report a 3% decline in cargo volumes, to 569,000 tonnes
Year-to-date cargo throughput of the ports of Chukotka, Russia fell 3% year-over-year, to 569,000 tonnes, the autonomous region's administration said in a press release.
In the reporting period, the region's terminals handled 314,000 tonnes of coal, 162,000 tonnes of containers and 73,000 tonnes of general cargo.
The leading port was Port of Pevek JSC with a 11-percent gain in cargo volumes and a 70-percent surge in ship calls.
