Evraz NCSP plans to handle 115,000 railcars by year-end

EVRAZ Nakhodka Commercial Sea Port" (EVRAZ NCSP) plans to unload before the end of the year at least 115,000 rail cars arriving via the RZD network, the stevedore company said.

Being the terminus of the Trans-Siberian Railway, the company receives for unloading about 10,000 cars a month. The terminals operator handles primarily rolling stock arriving from the West-Siberian Railway stations, loaded with the cargo of metallurgical and mining enterprises of EVRAZ holding.

Since November 2010, Russian Railways provides to its key customer, EVRAZ Group integrated transport and logistics services - delivery of cargo (on through rate) from the production site to ships. RZD also acts the intermodal international transport service provider.

EVRAZ Nakhodka Commercial Sea Port (part of EVRAZ Group) is one of the largest stevedoring companies in the Far East of Russia. Nakhodka port is located on the Eastern section of Peter the Great Gulf, in Nakhodka Bay. The port is connected to all points of the Eurasian continent and the Trans-Siberian Railway, assisting in both directions in the flow of goods between Asia and Europe. The port handles up to 450 rail cars daily. The Nakhodka Commercial Sea Port was founded on June 17, 1947. The company currently employs more than 2,000 people. EVRAZ NCSP has 15 berths for handling bulk cargo and an auxiliary berth for the port’s own fleet. Total berth space is 3.5 km, enough for 15 ships to dock simultaneously, having 11-m draft, 230-m length and 32-m breadth. The terminals operator can more than 1,500 large ships annually.
