Neva-Metal reports a 40% surge in box volumes in 11M / 2013 to 60,000 TEUs

Container volume handled by the terminal operator CJSC Neva-Metal (owned by Severstal) in January-November 2013 amounted to about 40,000 containers, or about 60,000 TEUs. This represents a 40% gain year-on-year, Severstal said in a press release. Overall, the company moved more than 2.6 million tonnes of cargo in the reporting period.

Handling of ferrous metals exported by Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant (a Severstal Russian Steel's division) in January-November reached more than 1.5 million tonnes, which accounts for 60% of the total throughput at the terminal. The figure corresponds to the volume reported for 11M / 2012.
