Freight volume carried in rail tank cars and boxcars by Novosibirsk branch of Russian rail operator JSC "Freight One" (PGK) in November 2013 rose to 290,000 tonnes, which represents a 55% gain over the same period last year, the Company said in a press release.
Freight ton/km for tank cars and box cars for the period more than doubled to 891 million tonnes.
Loading of tanks jumped by 65.4% to 170,000 tonnes, boxcars transport increased by 41.8% to 119,700 tonnes.
Basic nomenclature of goods transported in boxcars: grain, milling products, and chemical industry products. The cargo was transported from the stations of the West-Siberian Railway in east and west directions.
Oil cargoes were transported across Russia and exported to Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan.
