Federal Tariffs Service may raise gas transportation tariffs by 15%

Russia's Federal Tariffs Service (FTS) is planning to decide to index from January 1, 2007, tariffs on gas transportation services via Gazprom's main gas pipelines by 15% for independent companies confirmed by the FTS order of July 28, 2006, the Federal Service says.
As AK&M was told by the FTS, in November Gazprom applied to the Service and offered to increase the tariffs by more than 25%. The FTS will discuss the issue on a meeting scheduled for late December.
