Pakterminal is not to merge with E.O.S.

The council meeting of Pakterminal has decided not to enter into any negotiations with Severstaltrans’ subsidiary  Estonian Oil Service (E.O.S.) in order to remain an independent terminal for the storage and transhipment of mineral oil products, Pakterminal reports according to ИА REGNUM.

AS Pakterminal is an Estonian-Dutch company which is owned by Estonian investment company TransKullo (50%) and Dutch concern Royal Vopak (50%). Pakterminal Ltd. is engaged in (un)loading and storing of oil and oil products. The terminal comprising 33 reservoirs is situated in a strategic, easily accessible location, in the ice-free Port of Muuga within the Port of Tallinn on the southern shore of the Gulf of Finland. In November 2004 the company was acquired by Russian transportation group Severstaltrans. In 2005, 12% of total Russia’s heavy fuel oil export was handled via the E.O.S. terminal.
