MOL to open Hefei office

MOL (China) Co., Ltd plans to open an office in the mainland city of Hefei in Anhui province to conduct sales promotion, information gathering and other liaison operations, starting on December 18. MOL (China) had previously focused sales efforts in Hefei through its Nanjing branch. The new office is located at 1104 East Changjiang Road.The Japanese transportation group chose to locate its new office in the provincial capital Hefei with a population of more than 4.5 million people because of its growth prospects and favourable location, 400 kilometres west of Shanghai. Major economic activities include manufacturing of electrical appliances, chemical products and auto parts. Imports, and exports of Hefei's finished products and raw materials, pass mainly through the port of Shanghai, a company statement said. The opening of the Hefei office brings the number of MOL offices in China to 26.
