Liquefied natural gas will become the main fuel for marine transport by 2050, IAA PortNews reporter cites Tor E. Svensen, CEO DNV GL Maritime, as telling journalists in Hamburg (Germany).
According to him, vessels with hybrid engines are forecasted to become more popular at short routs by that time. Besides, fuel cell, biofuel and biogas will also be quite widespread.
