Scrubbers will play a significant role in shipping amid toughening of restrictions in sulphur emission control areas (SECAs), Tor E. Svensen, CEO DNV GL Maritime,
said when answering the question of IAA PortNews.
According to Mr. Svensen, the use of scrubbers will depend on the route and time the vessel is supposed to spend within SECA. He also said scrubbers are in demand already.
