In January-June 2014, the loading at the network of Russian Railways OJSC totaled 599.5 mln t (-1%, year-on-year), the company’s press center says.
In the reported period, Russian Railways loaded 150.7 mln t of coal (-0.9% year-on-year); 5.7 mln t of coke (-2.3%); 128.1 mln t of crude and oil products (+2.6%); 53.8 mln t of iron and manganese ore (-0.9%); 35.3 mln t of ferrous metal (-0.2%); 7.2 mln t of ferrous metal scrap (-5.3%); 25.2 mln t of chemical and mineral fertilizers (+8.4%); 15.7 mln t of cement (-6.2%); 19.9 mln t of timber (+10.4%); 6.8 mln t of grain (+55.4%); 69.9 mln t of construction materials (-15.2%); 9.7 mln t of non-ferrous ore and raw sulphur (-4%); 13 mln t of chemicals and soda (-4%); 17.1 mln t of industrial raw materials and molding materials (+8.1%).
From the beginning of 2014, the company’s cargo turnover hit 1,130.9 bln tarrif t-km (+5.6%). Cargo turnover including empty wagon run hit 1,459.5 bln tarrif t-km (+6.4%).
In June, 2014, the company loaded 100.6 mln t of cargo (-2.8%). The company’s cargo turnover climbed by 6.1% to 188.4 bln tarrif t-km. Cargo turnover including empty wagon run hit 241.8 bln tarrif t-km (+6.3%).
