A launching ceremony for Volga-Don max Combination Bulk Oil / Deck Cargo vessel , the MV “Balt Flot 1” of Project RST54 is scheduled to be held on July 10, 2014 at Navashino, Russia based Oka Shipyard. The MV Balt Flot 1 will be the first in a series of ten OBO vessels ordered by St. Petersburg based shipowner Balt Flot Tanker (BFT), the Company said in a press release.
The ship design was developed by Odessa headquartered Marine Engineering Bureau.
The ship delivery is scheduled for October 2015. The vessel will be deployed for mixed 'sea-river' transportation of oil products on behalf of Litasco, a subsidiary of LUKOIL.
Vessel's specifications: DWT - 5,589 tonnes, draft - 3.6 m in fresh water.
Tanks / Deck Capacity - 5653 m3 / 2564 m3.
Heavy oil products (FP - above 60°C; HFO, VGO, furnace oil).
Light oil products (FP - above 60°C (DF, LMF, lube oils, furnace oil).
Vehicles - about 330 cars / trucks, ISO containers - 148 TEUs. Other General / Bulk Cargo (including crushed stone – 4500 tonne).
BF Tanker business focus is on the logistic sector with particular emphasis on the transport of both wet and dry cargoes by sea and inland waterways.
