There are presently some 2200 automobiles waiting in line at the terminal of Port Kavkaz based in Krasnodarsky Krai. At the same time there are about 25 cars waiting their turn at Crimea based Port Krym, United Transport Directorate said.
Ferries servicing the ferry line have made 42 trips in both directions between 06:00pm July 16 and 10:00am, July 17. Overall, the ships transported 2300 vehicles and about 2700 passengers.
The newly acquired ferry Olympiada (former “Dorius”) has departed the port of Kavkaz on her second voyage with 131 vehicles and 413 passengers on board.
Previously, the vessel made her test trip and carried 216 automobiles, 10 buses and 955 passengers in both directions.
The Russian transportation authorities have deployed a fleet of other vessels on the ferry line to handle the seasonal passenger / car flows.
