July 16, Reym started the construction of a waste-processing installation (WPI) and spray-cleaning station in the Port of Rotterdam (Botlek area). The office building will be ready for occupancy in January 2015 and the complete installation, in mid-2015, the company said in its press release.
The waste-processing operation on the Theemsweg will comprise 12 processing and 16 storage tanks of various sizes. There will also be a completely operational spray-cleaning station. The location of the complex adjacent to deep, open water will make it easier to reach, with lower environmental pressure. With its own, 100+-metre quay, the location can further develop its future ship-cleaning activities, for example, degasification of ships contaminated with oil or benzene.
The new branch in Rotterdam will be the first total care centre. The integral approach of cleaning, transport and waste management provides effective control of the total cost of ownership.
