In January-June of 2014 OJSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” (“SP SPb”) transferred RUB 91.1 mln for the implementation of the development programme.
Lease payments for the equipment purchased within the programme on renewal of fleet of handling equipment amounted to RUB 60.5 mln. The company transferred RUB 30.6 mln for the development of port infrastructure and technical re-equipment of the terminals.
Within the reporting period “SP SPb” carried out design works on reconstruction of power complex at its berths in order to modernize transformer substations and increase of their power, designed and assembled telecommunication and server equipment, fire-fighting systems.
Within the 1st half of 2014 the company completed works related to evaluation of estimated sanitary protection zone in the port. The company also purchased new equipment for handling of loose cargoes.
OJSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” (included in UCL Port – stevedoring division of the International transportation group UCL Holding) – is the largest operator, rendering services on handling of all types of dry cargoes in the Greater Port of Saint-Petersburg. It operates by modern specialized terminals for handling of ro-ro cargoes, cars and metals. In 2013 the turnover of OJSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” amounted to 7.8 mln. tons of cargoes.
