Cargo transportation by Ukraine’s water transport up 13.9% to 2.3 mln t in HI’14

In January-June 2014, water transport of Ukraine carried 2.3 mln t of cargo (+13.9%, year-on-year), says State Statistics Committee of Ukraine.

Cargo turnover increased by 11% to 2. bln tonne-km.

The decline was registered in air and pipeline transport sectors. However, motor transport increased the results by 13%, the results of railway transport declined by 0.7%.

All types of transport carried  354.1 mln t (+1.1%, year-on-year).
