Oil spill response exercises were conducted July 17-18 at exploration well No 3 of North-Dolginskoye oil field drilled by semi-submersible jackup drilling rig GSP Saturn on the continental shelf of Russia in the Pechora Sea, Russian Marine Emergency Rescue Service (Gosmorspassluzhba) reports.
The oil spill response forces included multipurpose salvage ship "Spasatel Karev" and multipurpose AHTS Stril Commander.
The exercises were carried out to check the preparedness of OSR capabilities of fleet and team of FBI Gosmorspassluzhba of Russia to emergency oil spills.
